What I meant was compare historical accounts of flooding in ancient China or the Tigris/Euphrates and you'll see that the ancient Egyptians endured far more flood disasters or, at the least, recorded far greater numbers of them than other ancient civilizations.

The Nile delta floods like few places on Earth, and it's somewhat surprising that especially early on their civilization survived so many apparently catastrophic events.
