Whites, statistically (for the third time) make less on average than Asians.

awesome, has no bearing, so it wasn't worth repeating three times. A huge number of factors contribute to that.

quote:

Does a person with black skin, a Hispanic or an Asian have any less privilege when they get rich?

it is about before they get rich, money equals all

quote:

So therefore: Is it the money or the skin color that dictates the power?

money/majority power so some of both, but in this case i'll so money to appease you.

quote:

If it's the money it is not white privilege.

you don't walk around with your net worth written on your back. The people with the money in this country (gross, not per capita) will naturally gravitate towards those similar to them. Therefore, even without money, being born white is an advantage simply because you already have some similarities - you can take advantage or not, other factors including intelligence, mindset, economic standing, also are in effect.

There are many privileges you can be born with, being in the race that is in the economic and social majority is one.

quote:

Eh, it's nice to think that way but it's simply not true. The "majority" benefit from their wealth -- a white person born into poverty has the exact same shot at being successful as a black person, or an Asian person, or a Hispanic person.

Your status is not dictated by your skin color at birth.

A silver spoon isn't inserted as soon as you come out light-skinned.

They have the exact same shot in that they all have a shot.

Your status is not dictated by color of skin - however it is a fact of life which in todays world can still change some perceptions, even some ways so slight they are not noticable. Others can do it to more extreme ways, all races have people who do this. However because white is the majority in the economical and political sense however you want to phrase it, being born white has some advantages. If it was a different race they would have some advantages.

A silver spoon isn't inserted as soon as you come out light-skinned.

Never said that, you must take advantage of your privileges and as mentioned before many other factors affect privilege - looks, athleticism, what have you. Being born in the majority is also one of them.

I feel like I don't need to present an argument after you've conceded this.
