Yea that's ridiculous, watching a game vs what could be another poor WVU team isn't that cool. Especially when the atmosphere in these neutral sites tend to be very lacking. Would be nice for people to stop showing up to some of these and enjoy the HDTV and forces these gougers to come back down on the prices.

Don't get me wrong...I think that overall Battle has done a decent job up to now, and I'm certainly not ready to kick him to the curb over this, but this gives him a huge black eye as far as I'm concerned. Someone should remind him (as Mountaineer fans should remind Oliver Luck) that they work for us...not Chik-Fil-A. This isn't a freaking bowl game. And I'm not buying the whole explanation of the new playoff system, etc. Battle and Luck agreed to this nonsense. An increase from $60/$90 to $80/$140 is absurd. And the reason our tickets are higher than WVA's is that Battle decided to allocate the lesser expensive $120 and $130 tickets to others within the university...i.e., not Tide Pride. So says the ticket office, anyway.

Don't be surprised if WVA sends tickets back. The fact that we can go on their website and buy them is indication that they can't sell them to their season ticket holders. It would be very interesting to see what happens if Alabama can't sell out of the $140 seats. $140 to see a team that wasn't bowl eligible last year and probably won't be this year...yet they want to price it like a bowl game.

Failure to correct the basketball situation is strike one.
This is strike two.
I realize that at his age Battle is probably just keeping the seat warm for someone else, but one more strike and I'll be ready to see him be given his gold watch and sent on his way.
