because Notre Dame is Notre Dame, and Oregon is not.
Oregon, while certainly a flashy program with momentum, does not have and never will have the national cache of Notre Dame.

You're right, but I don't think it would have brought enough benefit for us to go across the country to play a really good team in an area where there really isn't a recruiting advantage to be gained.
