Since 1958, we had a policy to no longer play DII schools.

stAte didn't move up to the FCS level until the 80s and BCS level in the mid 90s.

It has nothing to do with "fear", they were DII for a long, long time, Arkansas didn't play Arkansas Tech, UCA, UA-PB etc either.

stAte feels like Arkansas should elevate their program, through exposure, financially, and by giving a percentage of our resources, in other words stAte favors socialism, we have no obligation to do so.

We do not play any of the other D1 instate programs either, 2 of which are in the UA school system, (UALR, UAPB) to go with stAte and UCA.

Bama/Auburn doesn't play Troy/USA/UAB, Nebraska doesn't play Creighton, Texas doesn't play aTm, Arkansas isn't in a unique situation of not allowing lil bro to have a game with big bro.
