So you're not worried one bit about a guy that was unable to start once in his college career taking reins at Alabama in game one against a very potent WVU air raid offense? An offense Saban is down right terrible with scheming against. It's likely to be a shoot out, and you better prey Coker is up to the task.

No. He has all the weapons at the skill positions to be successful. If the O-line can block, just give it to Smaugh or fumbles and fumbles

Potent air raid

Tell me how a potent air raid has as bad of a losing season as they did last year.

Greg McElroy played behind John Parker Wilson for two years. And we're talking about a WVU team that went 4-8 last year in the Big 12. Please forgive me if I don't take either of your points seriously.

The fact of the matter is, we have 2-3 great RBs and 2-3 great WRs. The offensive line returns 3 starters from last year and the guys moving in to the spots vacated by graduated/drafted talent were highly recruited 4 and 5 star athletes.

If Coker is as half as good as the staff thinks he is I don't think we'll have too many problems.

I for one am pretty concerned. You need at least above average QB play to win championships in college football now. Coker doesn't have to be great, but he needs to be good for Bama to reach a goal of SEC championship / national championship.

You lost me here though. First, Saban's defenses aren't "terrible" against any offenses. There have been the occasional bad games, but they are fewer and farther apart than pretty much any defense in college football the last 6 years.

As for WVU, you think Bama is going to need Coker to win a shoot out against WVU? I think that is highly unlikely. I don't think WVU has a chance in hell at slowing down Bama running the ball in this game. Bama will dominate TOP and win this one by at least two TDs without needing much from Coker in my opinion.

There will be a few games where Coker is going to need to shine because teams will slow down Alabama's running game. The WVU game won't be one of them.
