If the selection were today I'd agree. I think other than UF, the current Hosts need to win at least one in the SECT to remove any doubt, particularly Vanderbilt, if they crapped out against UT, they might lose their seat.

I think Kentucky would probably be a strong No. 3 seed without some work in Hoover. I'd put my money on LSU, State or Arkansas as a No. 2 considering they'd be playing the likes of ULL, Washington, Cal Poly or someone like that. All three are dangerously strong No. 2's.

If Tennessee can win the opening RD, they will have a shot.

Kendall Rogers of PG said basically said TN needs 1-2 wins in Hoover to make it. Cited some good OOC wins as helping them.

SC wins a few games in Hoover this week think that'll give us a national seed, right now we're on the bubble for a top 8 spot atm.

Aaron Fitt said today he thinks Tennessee is in barring whackiness in conference tourneys.

Kendall Rogers says the VOLS need two wins in Hoover to guarantee a spot. Thinks one they are likely but not guaranteed. Loss Tuesday and they would need help.

From VQ. Don't know who these guys are, but the thread made it sound like they are Lunardi/Palm of college baseball?

Those are some strong 2 seeds and one extremely hot team in TAMU right now. Where they get put is gonna be hell for the hosting team.

Can anyone explain to me why ULL would be a national seed? They have only played four games against top-50 teams; Vandy, USCe and Ole Miss have each WON about 3-4 times more games than ULL has even played against top-50.

Winning 50 games sounds impressive, until you realize that the wins were against high schools.

I think OP is spot on IMO. I think LSU is more likely to host than not.

Florida is a Top 8 seed regardless.

Ole Miss has to at least make the SEC final to have any hope of a Top 8 Seed.
