For games against teams like MSU, Arky, A&M that have kind of similar colors I'm all for it, home or away.
A few years back I posted a screenshot from NCAA football on PS3 where I created Derrick Thomas and Joe Namath in the while helmets home and away respectively and asked fans on a Bama board (not here) if they'd like to see us wear those occasionally just every now and then and they blasted the hell out of me and said I didn't respect Bama's tradition.

I actually thought these turned out pretty sharp last year. Once they made the hog a metallic red, it looked great. I'm glad we're keeping the white helmet with the new uniform set.
