Bourdain has the best gig on TV. He won't do the typical condescending carp that mist shows do when they do a show in a place like Mississippi.

Don't be so sure. The way he has spoken/acted when visiting post-colonial Sub-Saharan Africa is 100% condescending.
Bourdain is an arrogant shite, and I used to watch his show often. He's got a great gig, but he's just too smug for me to watch anymore.

It's interesting, because he tries to come off as a smug, knowitall New Yorker, but if you read his books you'll see that he actually has a tremendous amount of respect and curiosity for different cultures.
