I spent 8 years in college and taught in several capacities. Yes professors push a very liberal agenda on students. This is nothing new, the fact is academia is far from the real world, it operates among the upper 20% of intelligence and opinions are bred from being within this environment. Communism is a beautiful thing that just doesn't translate to the real world, hence the disconnect.

My dad taught at Mizzou. Still teaches some classes for lunch money. He'd always hang out with the ROTC folk at the functions because he said they were the only ones connected to reality.

I read. It was reasonably long. I see our disconnect too. I've taken a bunch of STEM classes with a little econ thrown in. You must have been in more of the traditional liberal arts side of things. You are certainly going to find more of that on your end of things, mainly because my field of interest doesn't so much lend it's self to the political realm.
I have had a taste of what you're talking about and it would be dishonest of me to deny what you've described goes on.

Fuggin J-schoolers are the worst. The trend when I was there was half of them would wear sickle and hammer t-shirts around campus. I can't stand anyone that can't for their own opinions, and they were the worst.
