The ACC is proposing it as a way to fill their P5 requirement for non con schedules, which the SEC also has. So if Tennessee scheduled A&M it would be replacing a game against an Arizona State, Minnesota, etc. I agree it is dumb though.

If that is the case, then there is no point, unless they are just trying to keep money inside the conference. There is no difference between UVA playing WF and UVA playing Nebraska.
