In MS it's a bit worse than that. Grocery stores can sell wine with less than 5% alcohol, which limits them to Boone's Farm-type crap.

I wasn't sure about the alcohol content and looked it up; found something a little disturbing. For years I've crossed the river to buy booze much cheaper in Louisiana. Turns out it is illegal to bring it back. I had no idea. Also, you can't get ANY sort of booze by mail from anywhere. At least not legally.
