ESPN will, once again, be unwatchable leading up to the season.

That's been the case for 14 or so years now. The network sucks outside of the actual games and even those are starting to get bad.

It's not about sports and hasn't been for a long time and it's hard to take their analysis of anything seriously. Cowherd has kind of let the cat out of the bag on how things are done there.

Not reading the whole thread but I sure liked this post.

Food for thought :
The English Patient was on today and it was well received when made. When watching it I thought the movie was odd in there was a woman on such a venture pre WW I so I read up and found they had taken liberties with the movie. The most glaring was that he was a ruthless spy (sorta spoils the "did it for love angle") but the bigger revelation was that his lover in real life was not a woman but a man.

Now here is the point. If they made it as a gay couple does it still sell all those tickets or get all the Academy Award talk it did? Wether the hetero lifestyle is correct or not is not the issue. That it controls the majority of the population and they buy the tickets does. The media may market a segment of product to the gay crowd to attract those dollars but in the end they will want the biggest slice of the market as that is where they make the big money.
