If gays really want to be treated equal, then they should have to accept criticism as an equal.

If a straight player went this over the top with his reaction he would be a target for jokes, but we're supposed to not criticize Micheal Sam's uncomfortably weird reaction to being drafted because he's gay?

If so, that's not being treated equally.

I live near the gayest city in Texas and I found that to be disturbing.

If all people were doing was making jokes, that would be fine. Normal, in fact.

That isnt what is happening, though. People arent making jokes about it, they are talking how disgusting that queer is and how that has no place on TV or in the NFL. Its about how disgusted people are with a man kissing another man.

What we're seeing is blatant vitriol, not jokes.
