no, I was at the pool. It was a nice time until this whale showed up with two kids, one which is well on its way to being obese. I noticed she didn't have much control of them.

They probably just don't care that their kids are acting like assholes, just like they don't care if their kid eats 5 cheeseburgers.
To bring up something a little different:
There's another girl in my daughter's class who is very overweight, but the mother is thin, is always completely made up, and not unattractive. I don't see how she could let her daughter get so big considering how much she cares about her own appearance.
