Half the country would fail a hair test. Also they're a pretty huge invasion of privacy.

I know but teams pay these guys millions

Maybe if they were forced on you. As a requirement for employment, they are far from a "pretty huge invasion of privacy". I would argue that they're less of an invasion of privacy than a urine analysis if someone is required to watch you give your sample.
