Not if we stuck with the same conference format, then gave 11 bids to the conference winners and five at-large. Would create Cinderella opportunities, eliminate any cries of unfairness from non-major conferences, and follow the baseball and basketball models. Would also still keep the regular season meaningful with only five at-large spots available, and honestly if you aren't one of the five best football teams that didn't win your conference, you have no argument that you belong in the playoff.
