This is one thing the wife and I really disagree on when it comes to raising our kids. I don't believe in spanking, and she does. She was never spanked as a child, and I was. She used to get really angry when I wouldn't spank our son. I can't even imagine spanking my daughter. The logic behind that is just baffling, especially when I've told my son the one thing I'd never forgive him for is hotting a girl.
I always said I would spank my kids before I had them, but as soon as I started raising my kids, my perspective changed.

It never worked with my kids. I can't bring myself to spank hard enough to be a deterrent.

Is there anything more awkward than when someone spanks their child in public? Horrible.
