re: Anyone on here built a really energy efficient home that the poor can afford?

Built a house two years ago, went with spray foam insulation and an aluminum foil type radiant barrier wrapping the house....my 75 year old contractor called it NASA wrap. High efficiency units.. 17 seer I think....Energy bill is about half of what it use to be with a 1000 extra square feet. I've purchase 10 100 watt solar panels to backfeed into the grid, to try and take the bill on down even further
