This guy's quotes sound like he extracted enjoyment from it, which is a major red flag, IMO.
Hell, even if the theives got what they deserved, a simple "I did what I had to do," would have sufficed. His quotes went way beyond that into some dark territory, unless I'm seriously missing some context here.
