It would be "reasonable" to expect AU to have a mediocre season following a good one?

Not if you're basing it on history (which you are)...when you should, instead, be basing it on what they return and add as a team. And if you do that, you don't get 8-9 wins.

Going with over myself, while they'll not catch anyone by suprise this year, that doesn't mean other teams will be able to do much about it.

I think you're looking at a season like AU had in 2011. Not great, but not bad.

Y'all act like they were dominant last year. They had a miracle win against Georgia, miracle win against bama, beat a very overrated mizzou team that took advantage of a hurt and down east and finally lost in the championship to a freshman qb.

Dunno if you've forgotten, but they had to cheat in order to win against Texas A&M

Unconventional and out of the ordinary? Sure, I can agree with that...

Miracle? fricking lulz, no.

AU's defense will stink, Robinson, Prosch, Mason gone on Offense. Won't sneak up on teams this year. Remember, AU lost 2 games last year and won 6 games by 8 points or less. They won't get the breaks they got last year. It's not like AU was a dominant team last year.

Replace Auburn with bama and you're on the money

If you replace Auburn with Bama it doesn't make sense, as Bama doesn't play Bama or Georgia. I know you're eager to hope, but if you've honed in on a glorified scrimmage as reason to be optimistic you will be sorely disappointed come November.

Even if it does, did that matter in 2010 and 2013?

Enter Shon Coleman, Cam Artis-Payne and the other slew of running backs, and Brandon Fulse. BTW, since when has Auburn had trouble replacing a running back? Not recently.

I'm sorry they know how to win close ball games. Gus Malzahn, during his time at Auburn, is 24-4 in close games.

Yet still won the SEC, which means they don't have to be this so-called "dominant" team to do the same this year.

Your schtick is old and playout out, Beer Bryant.

Returning a field goal 109 yards on the last play of the game is a frickin miracle. We can agree to disagree on that
