It happens from time to time. First time it happens, we assume it's a coincidence. Second time it happens, said poster goes before the Council of Chicken's Knights where a team vote is performed. No one has ever come back from the CoCK

Tuesday is a fickle day for UF

March 18th - Beats #2 FSU
March 25th - Beats #2 FSU
April 1st - Loses to Florida Atlantic
April 8th - Beats #2 FSU
April 22nd - Loses to Jacksonville

...go figure

It must be dangerous at the top. No team seems to want to be up there. Bama just lost to Southern Miss

JAX is a jinx for us. I don't know what it is about that team, but crazy things always happen. I think I've seen the Gators beat them only once.

Currently the two teams not making it to Hoover are Tennessee and Missouri.

PR#1 UF and PR#2 Bama both lost tonight. We might have a new #1 this time next week

Mizzou should be finished off after they travel to Florida this weekend. Georgia, Auburn, and Tennessee all have tough schedules to finish the year out, I think the second team left out could be any one of those.

If Florida sweeps or Alabama wins a series at USC, I'm not sure a midweek loss would drag them down at all though.

If LSU sweeps UT (which I think will happen) I can see them getting several 1st place votes. Along with UF sweeping (likely) and the winner of Bama/SC series, all 3 teams should be battling for the #1 spot in the Week 7 PR

Don't forget about A&M. We still have state, LSU, and OM.

Thanks semo ...

It's getting to be that time of the year. It all sort of starts this weekend, under twenty remaining games, all series are important from now until the end of May ...

Gonna be interesting watching how it all goes down over the next four weekends.

Kentucky is a game ahead overall and a game behind in the SEC with an RPI that puts State to shame. Looks right to me.

Yep. May have been inconsistent but have also beaten teams like Louisville (2xs) and Virginia in the OOC as well. Snagged a win over Tennessee Tech and they're one of the top 4 hitting teams in the country.

But totally can't hold State's jock or anything.

The OM @ UK series this weekend should be pretty interesting. I think OM is a more balanced team right now, but I'm siding with UK's bats at home to take the series.

I would love to finish in the top 4 to avoid play-in Tuesday. We had Missouri last year and went 17 innings on Tuesday night. Had we not won that game, we would have gone to a Regional but it wouldn't have been at our place and it is unlikely we would have been set up to make the run that we made. I was there for all 17 innings and by the end, was rooting for almost anyone to end it. Seems like it was 1 or 2 in the morning when it finally ended.
