You guys actually have depth on defense though. I think you could at least safely say that Golson was on the top 10 list of players that you did not want to lose.

Oh it's a top 5 situation we didn't want to have. I'm not saying this isn't a tough loss but it's not detrimental like everyone is making it out to be.

I'll give you Bo. Prewitt is a baller and is more valuable from a leadership standpoint than a playmaking aspect but we've got other guys that could come in and be efficient enough to get things done. It really all comes down to depth and the offensive line was already the weakest link. Now take one of the lone bright spots out of the equation and things have turned to utter dog shite.

And the whole "then we weren't really good in the first place" comment is somewhat ironic because we really aren't that good.

If it's a top 5 situation you didn't want to have how is it not detrimental?

According to RebelGrove, Golson has started following 3 new coaches on twitter. All AU.

This is where I parked my car.

I wasn't honestly expecting to get him

Seems like these kind of rumors pop up every year and we never actually capitalize on it.

HJJ is right though. It's not as bad as people think because people don't realize that Aaron Morris will move out to tackle and did so this spring and did very well. Unless Fahn is one of our top 4 on OL the entire team he will be used as a swing tackle. Bell and Bouldin to start at guard with Rod and Martin backing them up. Not good losing Golson but we will manage

Thank you

I'm not pumping sunshine or saying this isn't bad. It's not something we needed at all. All I'm saying is that it's not detrimental to our season and I think we will survive.

I don't feel good at all about moving our best guard out to RT when our run game suffered so much last year because he was out.

We replace him with a RS Freshmen and what? We will still struggle mightily against D-Lines with any semblance of a pulse...again.

Can't disagree there. I know for certain that our OL will be better this year than it was last year, but it still will more than likely have trouble pounding it up the middle.

Sooo I've changed my stance on letting Golson go. You gotta release him.

So does he get a hardship waiver and play this year?
