I know there is a recruiting thread, but damn what a weekend for commits. Just found out about it on the SEC recruiting board.

Yeah, a pretty ridiculous haul. We also got a basketball commitment as well.
A little breakdown for the non-recruitniks:
Minkah Fitzpatrick: 5* CB. He's not a burner, but he is very physical, unbelievably competitive, great instincts. He's from NJ and has been wanting to commit to Bama for at least the past few months.
Leo Lewis: Most impressive linebacker film I've seen from a high school prospect. Even if you are not a recruitnik, do yourself a favor and check his film out. LINK We are recruiting him as an ILB.
Shawn Burgess-Becker: From Miami, he is a package deal with Calvin Ridley. We are recruiting SBB as a safety, but he plays as a WR/DB in high school. He may be one of the best prospects in our class when all is said and done. His ball hawking reminds me of HaHa.
Calvin Ridley: Great WR prospect. Good speed and good catch radius. At 6'2 he gives the quarterback a nice sized target. He is very elusive in space.

Ridley and Becker both need a slice of humble pie before they arrive, or else they're going to be force fed it. I'm stoked they committed, and hope they remain committed, but their film shows both of them crossing the fine line between playing with confidence and hot dogging it.

What are Leo's height and weight? Looks like a Mosley type? I could be wrong..

Measured in at 6' without cleats. I can't seem to find a recent weight for him. It seems that we are moving away from prototypical size in favor of speed and instincts. Most likely this move is due to defending the HUNH.
He's listed on the recruiting services as an OLB, but we are recruiting him inside. They want him to be a physical, run stuffing linebacker.

Listed at 6'3" 225lbs, apparently measured in recently at 6'0", close to 6'1". Mosley was 6'2". So, they're close enough.
