Yeah energy industry is really booming in the Dakotas, I have a neighbor that's up there working making some great money. Just paid cash for a brand new truck...must be nice. I've worked jobs with similar labor and daily exertion making much less money.

Yeah but you have to live in North Dakota for a spell. Like offshore work, you're paid for the terrible location. If you can suck it up for a year though, best money you can get at without some very specialized education.

Toyota just opened their plant near Tupelo.

I feel like that plant was suppose to open for at least five years now.

I'm rooting like hell for Mississippi. Y'all are just starting from farther behind than any of us.

He's been working up there for several years.

Mississippi is leading the south in aerospace job growth. We've had Nissan here since '03. That plant is 2 or 3 times the size of the new Toyota plant and they're adding on. Northrop/Grumman also makes about a third of all the warships for the US Navy at Ingalls shipyard in Pascagoula. MS is also about to announce another major auto plant, coming soon. We're definitely not behind some of the other southern states in these two sectors. AL and SC lead in auto industry.
