Or just go to a community college truck driving school CDL drivers with a haz mat endorsement are pulling down a buck and a quarter per year in the Dakotas. One of my dispatchers with driving experience just gave up the desk job to go double his pay. Second employee lost to this modern day gold rush. Happy for both of them!

The boom in the Dakotas is no joke either. Towns tripling in population in five years. There's some serious money to be had for anyone brave enough to deal with those winters. If I were single, I'd seriously consider putting my engineering degree (well future degree) to use up there.
