Better after Anderson left or after Haith left?

Alden talking about how the program is in a better position now than it was when Anderson got me to wondering about that.
After Anderson left, the classes were admittedly lopsided, but there were still solid players within the program. A bunch of them as a matter of fact. The likes of English, Denmon, Bowers, Pressey, Dixon and I'm sure others I'm forgetting.
After Haith left, the classes are still lopsided and there are far fewer known commodities in the program. Williams and arguably Clark.
I guess to answer the question we have to wait and see if Gant and Wright stick by their commitments.
What do y'all really think? Is the program really in a better place now than it was after Anderson left?

No way, the starting roster was loaded a few years ago but had no bench. They don't have anyone that valuable now let alone 7 good players. Alden is blowing smoke up the fans asses. He has to lie.

Not just the fans, but I'd imagine posturing for any coaches he interviews.

Lol. No, we're not better. We're worse reputation-wise, W/L wise and talent-wise. We have worse attendance. In short, Alden is lying to himseff.

We are a lot better off. Our reputation is the same. W/L wise we are the same. Talent wise we are a lot better. Attendance is down but we were never that awesome.
The classes being more balanced is not even close. I'm not sure what rosters you all are looking at. We have 3 recruits that we may be able to keep rather than 0. On and on.
Alden couldn't even get a coach to listen to him during the last opening. Don't tell me Painter was interested. This time around we have some coaches showing interest.
The conference alignment stability for us is huge right now. Last time around it was being hinted we could end up in the WAC. Now we are starting to make enough money to distance ourselves from other programs around us.

How do you figure this?
Denmon/English/Bowers/Pressey/Dixon vs. Rosburg/Post/JW3/Clar

Having good players for basically 1 year does not mean you are loaded in talent. Right now we have talented players with multiple years of eligibility. An incoming coach is going to look at more than 1 year. After the last opening you would have 2 players after 1 year. No coach is going to look at that as promising.

I wouldn't say the balance is great. Maybe better. If I find the time, maybe I'll actually break them out. Off the top of my head, 1 senior(Post), 2 juniors (Rosburg/Bello), 5 sophomores (Clark/Jones/JW3/Rector/Beidschied) and who knows if any freshmen.

That is better than 7 seniors, 1 junior, 1 sophomore, and 0 freshman.

Ahhh, thanks, saved me the work. I was trying to think back on what the other class was made up of. I'd agree it's slightly better. And it helps that it's the imbalance is with the sophomore class and not kids that will be gone after one year.

I see what you're saying and agree with some of it, but will just agree to disagree about which team was more talented.

This is true. And could be a key in landing a Cronin or Mack or even Dixon.
The rest of your post is interesting. But I'm not really agreeing.

I'm not trying to imply that Anderson totally fricked us. He got us out of the Snyder mess. He saw the writing on the wall though, quit during his last year here, and went back home. The only bad thing Haith did was miss on his first full recruiting class. That caused more transfers and less team bonding than needed. We were going to need to take a bunch of transfers to begin with, but that one class made it worse.

I agree that is the biggest improvement right now and why legitimate coaches are interested.
