Every team that wins over an extended period ends up with a percentage of the fan base that goes cultish - Kansas, Bama, Nebraska, Kentucky.

Maybe it's different on the Western part of the state, but the Cardinals cult around here seems to be cigarette smoking blue hairs who want to knit sweaters and bake cookies for the players.

So if they want to burn through their retirement money at the ball park instead of the slot machines, more power to them.
