Ahhh. I see. So Coker hasn't taken ONE snap yet, but he's the 5th best QB in the SEC.

Must be the same retarded subhumans that voted Oklahoma State 5th or 6th in the final regular season BCS poll in December 2011.

The bias for the Skoal-Drool Detergent-Head MulliGump Neck Things is moumentally old and positively nauseating.

Even if he rushes for 3000 yards.....he still won't pass enough to put him at the 3500 mark

Passed for ~1900 yards last year

Are you really this dumb or just faking to blend in with the Gump herd?

For a little historical perspective...

Despite having already signed and scheduled to enroll in the fall this time last year, 2014's #1 wasn't even mentioned in the 2013 rankings, even though his chief competition was ranked dead last (and deservedly so).

And yet another guy who won't put on his school's uniform until August comes in at #5. Yeah, that's seems legit.

He has done it once. The other time he threw 5 touchdowns.

So he's trending downward.

I think you guys should consider playing Treadwell at QB next season. Looked better than Wallace in the Egg Bowl.

So they ranked a 3000 yard passer 9th in the league. How is the list not shite using that criteria?

PLEASE READ THE ETA TOO

They have the TAMU QB and Coker that they need to flip, but the rest is pretty much fans being pissed because their guys are not higher.

From what I've seen of Mason, Dylan, Mauk, Wallace, they are all going to pass for high numbers and have the supporting cast to do it. Mason does not suck or will only be a game manager like most feel. Dylan can really sling the ball and will be utilized more as a passer. Mauk looks good passing the ball and the system easily makes him a 2800+ yard passing candidate. Wallace has already thrown for 3300 yards and a year removed from injury, and better decision making should make him more effective.

Marshall now has an offseason in the system and a great WR in Williams to add to Coates' downfield threat. Malzahn's QBs rarely throw under 2700 and are usually way higher than that. The guy had some pretty lame talent to work with, and he's not that polished of a passer considering he was a DB who played QB in JUCO and had two weeks to practice an offense before he was thrown into the fire. He has great upside in this offense, a big arm, and very athletic.

Dak has the supporting cast and ability to put up huge numbers. I mean he averaged 181 yards passing splitting time in conference play alone and didn't get to play against Bama or Arkansas. If you add in hjs rushing yardage against those exact same in conference teams, he averaged 269 total yards a game splitting time. He has all of his pass catchers back and the job to himself. Barring injury, he will explode in 2014.

TAMU, and specifically Sumlin's QBs have all dominated whether he was the QB coach or the OC. It would be highly unlikely that Allen or Hill throws for less than 3000 yards. I could see 2800 as the cut off, but come on people. Let's just add his ridiculous receiver talent for clarity.

Besides the QBs and their positions I've went in detail about, the other guys are unknowns. Sure they could have breakout years, but they could also either not win the starting job, be replaced, or they don't have the system to put up crazy numbers. I made a list a couple days ago (well more like a top 7 in no particular order and a bottom 7 in no particular order), that is basically what they said aside from having Bama's QB in the top half and TAMU's QB in the bottom. So I think it's fairly accurate despite those two glaring mistakes.

ETA: Now the QBs they picked as starters are highly subjective and downright shots in the dark, but as a team list, it's almost right.

wut a garbage list...

I've got:

Prescott looked better than Wallace, and Thompson, Driskel, and Worley should all be top 5/6 based on experience alone. Interesting that a national mag pencils in Harris for LSU... Can't argue with the production Marshall's going to have and what he brings to the offense... Mauk will be good again.

This is the weakest the SEC QB's have been in a WHILE.

The fact that Driskel is in single digits is a testament to that.

Same with Bo Wallace at #2 (really? that's the best the SEC can do?), and Nick Marshal at #1, a guy not necessarily known for his throwing ability.

I'd venture a guess, but there's so many unknowns on that list it's hard to differentiate.
