That's what I figured, we have to be honest nobody wants this job anymore. Put all the funds in football we gave hoops one last try.
This is crazy. We are going to make someone the top 25 paid coach in the nation, bare minimum, in a major conference with great facilities. I don't get why there's all the Negatiger response on this.

Look at it this way: Mike Anderson won 31 games here once. Remind an Arky fan of that and watch their jaw drop.
Frank Haith won 30 games here once. This board still can't reconcile that at all, it just doesn't compute.
Quin Snyder won 25 games and went to the Elite Eight here once.
Given the total context of the above coaches' careers, you could almost make the argument that its nearly impossible NOT to win at Mizzou.

How do people feel about search firms doing most of the work on this type of decision?
I don't understand it.
I can see having a search committee that is associated with the university, but I don't understand paying an outside firm to essentially make a decision for you.
I can understand paying an outside firm to run background checks ect, but from that post that is linked it sounds like the firm has a stronger hold on this than running background checks.

There's a reason that Alden had to settle for Haith in the first place. That means NOBODY WANTED THE JOB. And they stll don't. As long as Alden is here no good coach will work for him despite what they pay.
