Custer State Park is awesome. My parents used to do a stint as Campground Hosts in the summers there after they retired.
That's pretty cool. We are doing Custer today.

She is pissed, might want to call her.

Worst part though? They don't know how to pronounce Arkansas. Unfortunately they say it Ar-Kansas which was a little infuriating.
They must be on tRant then.
I liked Wind Cave myself where the buffalo roam.

My fiancée's sister works on an Indian reservation up here and we are visiting her for a few days.
Tell her I'm sorry.

There is no diversity. It's either native Americans or white people. Very different feel than anywhere I've ever been.
Vist northern michigan and it is the same thing except the natives have the casinos so they are taking all that money back from the white man.

I've already had to put my foot in my mouth once on this trip, I was talking to a friend of my fiancées sister who is a full blooded Lakota. Someone mentioned Devil's Tower and I was all "Oh yeah, that's the remnants of an old volcano," and the native said "That is what science says, that is not our story of how it formed."

We're doing all the touristy stuff tomorrow, then heading to the Lakota reservation on Friday where my fiancée's sister works.
Does she follow the Schimmel sisters?
YUM sold out (22,000+) and most were indians who had traveled from all over the country to support the sisters.

The native we met actually drove to Louisville to see that game, it's a huge deal for them.

Yeah, pretty cool. No win for the Cards that night but did the person you met enjoy the atmosphere at YUM? UK pulled almost 24K for their women playing Duke and UL pulled over 22K for their women. 2 schools in the same state drawing over 20K for home games is something most men's programs would envy.

Oh yeah they were blown away, they don't have any kind of basketball atmosphere like that in South Dakota.

Where were they sitting?
If I had known a friend has some of the best seats in the venue. It really is great atmosphere for basketball (men or women)

Don't know, they had a big contingent from the reservation though.

BTW, what was the overall weather during your stay? Winter sucks there but you may be in the other season known as not winter.

Still here, the first day was really cold and snowy but it's been 60-70 degrees every other day.
