well that actually makes sense

but hell, he took them to the tourney and went 24-10. I don't understand Sparty's line of thinking here.

The guy is not a good basketball coach.

well I'll guess I'll just believe you without any evidence or reasoning.

24-10, 15-2 at home, made the tourney, studied under Cal, recruits his arse off (known fo this by the way), coach of the year in 2010 C-USA

Yeah Pastner must be doing something right because Memphis really hasn't lost a beat. I think pastner's age and the lack of respect Memphis gets are the only real things people could have against him.

I was going to rake it in with memphis/UVA..the ACC was looking like garbage and Memphis always is a gritty tough team.."no way UVA bounces em by big"

Doesn't matter. Pastner isn't going to UT.

Cuonzo won 24 games as well. Pretty easy in today's college basketball with a halfway decent roster.

Bring me Archie, Mack, Howland, or Marshall.

I think Mack is very realistic. That would be my bet.

yep, tied for his 1st season. However, he needs to be doing more than just winning 24-26 gms per (he had 31 in 12-13) and then getting bounced early in the tournament

Calipari was going to the Elite eight and sweet 16 every year. They haven't made it past the first weekend of the NCAA tournament since Pastner got there.

They had more talent than 90% of the teams in the country, but refused to play defense and were extremely undisciplined on offense. They had 4 senior guards this year and did nothing with it.

He is poor X's and O's coach, a poor motivator, and just a strange guy.

he went to the second round this year and lost to a better team. There are plenty of good coaches who get taken out early.

I disagree with all of this except that he's strange. He's very strange.
