yea but if a fraction of the military stays they still have the ability to squash a armed resistance. also don't forget the drones they could use.
a fraction of the airpower is still plenty to handle a group of ten million that is restricted to guns only for the most part. It is even easier if they ignore collateral damage.

It's just not gonna happen. Federal martial law would only be necessary in one instance.
If Obama tried to sign an executive order that left him in office. If that happened... well, the military still wouldn't go with it. He doesn't have much support among the ranks.
