Well we did play in 4 bowl games.

That's nice and all, but in today's college football where 70 teams play in bowl games, that isn't much of a measuring stick for top 15 type programs like Auburn. Top 25 seems like more of a measuring stick for a "good" season. Auburn has two of those during this time period, but cashed in big time in both seasons with two SEC championships, two BCSNC appearances, and one BCS championship.

No way we should be listed below UF.

agreed, especially since them having shitty seasons and not being in a bowl or sec champ caused them to jump in the winning percentage

I would move Auburn to second due to 2 SEC titles and a BCS title.
Maybe move UGA ahead of Florida.

We somehow managed to scrap out a win in our spring game this year

I love it and hope it keeps up. UF too. The thing is that when they are soooooo bad like the dooley years you kinda want to feel bad for them. But all you have to do is remember when they were good and those feelings go away. UT pre-dooley was unbearable to deal with.

I'm not gonna bitch. Gives us a chance to pass them in SEC titles.

UT with Dooley was more unbearable for the UT fans.

But, I have really enjoyed the past 2 UGA/UT games. I still think last years was the best football game i've ever seen (especially in person), despite the outcome.

It's funny though, despite UT and UF being down, UGA still cant get over the hump of winning an SEC or a Natty

^^That's what's been shocking to me - UT & FLA down in the same year and UGA still can't make it to the big game.

That plus the fact that Vandy beat all those three teams, and Mizzou won the SECE.

I want things to go back to normal again

Yall know there's more than just 2 teams on our schedule right?

We've beat UT and UF the last 3 years, and won the east 2 of those years.

UGA was down last year as well. It's hard to argue against the notion that injuries brought us down a notch or two in 2013.

Denied. New normal is coming. UT will sadly rebound, but Vandy is going nowhere (without unforseen circumstances). If these rankings are done in 2 years, I think Vandy is ahead of UT. Yes, it's a selective period, but it is still monumental considering how lopsided the rivalry has been.

Vandy will take a large step back this year due to a coach bailing for a better program and taking a large chunk of your recruits, coupled with the loss of a ton of your offensive production. Trust me, it happened to us.

Vandy doesn't have the facilities, fanbase, lax academic standards, AD, or tradition to be a perennial contender in the SEC. You've had the advantage of UT, UF, and UGA being down, some very laughable schedules, and the best team you beat the past few years was 8-4. There is no new normal, unless you count Mizzou and USCe being thrown into the mix every few years

Was the greatest coach in school history packing up and heading north and trying to take recruits with him foreseen?
