My in-laws are divorced and my MIL has since remarried. I love my FIL and my wife's stepfather, very different guys but both very cool in their own right.
As for my MIL, I certainly dont have animosity towards her but we've had our clashes. There was a time when she tried to be a little too involved in our relationship.
I really like my brother in law and his wife, we hang out with them fairly regularly.

Hell naw on that count
I really appreciate that my MIL has never tried to meddle with/alter my relationship w/ belle. Honestly that goes against her nature, but she respects us enough to give us our own sphere.

My MIL had a controlling personality, and has tried to get involved before, but she means well. It was a little annoying, but I have a laid back personality so I just let it go.
