How much of a contender was this guy? I didn't know much about their QB situation

He was smack dab-o in the middle of competition: Stoudt was a 2* or 3* QB with little hype out of HS but nonetheless has been fairly focused and has the most experience. He's a substantial drop-off talent-wise from Boyd, but was their most knowledgeable and dependable on the depth chart...

Kelly was a 4* out of HS and 2012 UA AA Game participant, that was a highly regarded DT QB, but his immaturity was always off the scales, and the back of his head is shaped like the toes of his foot, he's had it stuffed in so deep so often...

Then there was 5* and overall top DT QB prospect out of the 2014 class DeShawn Watson. He's a true freshman and obviously is behind the others in playbook knowledge, CFB experience, and physical development. But his talent had him thrown into the mix with the other two just the same, and many in Cow Nation expected him to earn the starting job somewhere during the course of the season...

Due to the astounding wisdom and genius that is Dabo, Clemson held live practices this spring for their QBs, and right on queue Watson suffered a broke collarbone and did not participate in their spring game. Now they'll have Stoudt, a hobbled Watson, and walk-ons to man their QB depth chart for the all-important summer period...

It's crazy to think after the Orange Bowl victory and success in the ACC but if this season doesn't go well due to the QB situation the heat could really be on Dabo.

Imagine something like an 8-4 season and a 6th straight loss to us.
