We don't have a full roster by SEC standards ... You have Denzel listed at LB... He may never dress out again ... I hope that's not the case but it's damn sure a possibility ... Conyers is garbage while Cooper and Shepherd aren't even on campus yet... We don't know what to expect from Russell and Haynes either ... Too many question marks for me to say this team has a legitimate shot at a winning record in SEC play... I'm not any less of a fan... I just don't think we'll turn the corner this season.

I'm kinda on the same page Reg. I'm slightly more optimistic but really there are so many unknowns.

Also, people always like to talk about how much better we are every year but they seem to never take into account that other teams are working their arse off to get better too.

It's the SEC. For all we know UT and ARK could both be vastly improved and give people fits. We really just don't know.

Really the only big advantage I think Ole Miss and MSU has this year is that they are one of the few schools with a returning QB that has some starts under their belt.

Of course with Alabama you could stick anyone behind the center and they would win 10 games.

I'm not gonna lie, I would be fine w 8 wins in regular season. So would any logical state fans. That is getting close to the ceilings for both schools unfortunately. I have a hard time believing that either could get to 10 regular season wins these days...

I could see Bouldin getting the start at RG since he and Golson are getting so much work together on the right side and the coaches may like to see some rhythm and continuity be built there. The know what they have in Bell and can always plug him in as needed.

Morris at LG and Bouldin at RG with Bell being the first off the bench at either slot

Bryon Bennett ahead of Carlos Thompson. Also Bennett and Nkemdiche at DT for 4 man fronts.

Things I like:
1. 4 Scholarship QBs
2. Depth at RB - Remember two years ago when we had Jeff Scott and ???. Luckily Mackey worked out.
3. Probably the best secondary Ole Miss has had since I've been alive.

Things I dislike:
1. O-line depth - Taylor and Cooper have to be as advertised
2. WR depth - Park and Epps need to be ready. Sanders hasn't been durable and if he or Treadwell go down, it's ugly. Same for Engram.

I think what some of you guys are failing to see is we have depth with more expereince. Some of those teams may have more depth, but most of them dont have much experience. Ole Miss and MSU this year have deeper teams with alot of experience in some positions.

Not really. Our starters, except for a few exceptions, have a lot of experience but most of our second string has played very very little or not at all.

The defensive line could be very nasty this year.
The secondary actually can cover people.
If Denzel gets his shite together we are two deep at Mike/Will LB.
O-line has a some talent and did ok against a very strong d-line in the Grove Bowl.

How healthy will they be in September and how healthy they stay will determine how good they become this year.

Receiving corps will see more two wide sets, with E. Engram and S. Epps in the line up. Epps could get some plays out wide to spell L. Treadwell.

There will be more TE sets and less 3 wide sets this year and more two back sets with more misdirection.

I like your list but I think Shepard will be in front of Davis and Kailo. I also think Collins will see more PT than Core.
