I could see it... An early loss to Boise and a few key injuries could easily have us at 6-5 headed into the Egg Bowl.

To answer the question, I think this season will be hit or miss. I would be taking the safe route if I said we would win 8. I think we either hit it big with 9 or drop down to 7. So I'm gonna agree with your friend and say 9 wins. I think Ole Miss is a win for us just like it has been 4 out of the last 5 years.
