My observations, Qb's and Receivers:

We are better at receiver from a unit standpoint than at anytime I can remember in the past. That goes back a ways.

Fred Brown is what I thought he was when he was recruited, a very overlooked, extremely athletic, tough x-factor guy that would have been a 4-star recruit with 2 dozen offers, if he had been from TX.

Fred Ross is going to have a good Soph year. Good speed and will likely prosper in the space vacated by Chappelle who is apparently no longer with us

DeRunnya Wilson is a rising star and has the speed to get separation and the length to make receptions with coverage. A HUGE year could await him.

BJ Hammond is big and looked good out there.

Gabe Myles, I didn't get a roster so I'm unsure of his number. Everything I've heard is good stuff.

Qb- Damn I'm freaking impressed. Never been this good at State at the qb position group..and one isn't even here yet.

Prescott is the obvious stud leader and picked where he left off, but Damian looked more refined in his passing than last year. He just looked plain good Saturday.

Fitzgerald looks like he's already been here a year and played as a Tfr. I was very impressed with his arm and poise. Remember this was a run first qb in hs and could run very well. But he was only a 2** recruit so it must be a fluke***

The scrimmage was obviously tailored to emphasize these position groups, so I'm cautiously optimistic that this will be our best offense in the modern era.

I'm with you.

Was very close to that last year while we were still pounding square pegs in round holes part of the time at QB and most of the time at RB -- with a very inexperienced group of receivers starting out...
