Anyone else notice the downtick in South Carolina and upswing in Tennessee?

Like everything in life, it's cyclical. I'm sure if you go five years before the chart our numbers were not as high as the 2008-2010 classes. I would say that an average year for us is around 5 or so in the top 250.

I'm gonna need to see a little more production out of TN before I'm ready to anoint them as the third best "small state" for SEC recruiting.

As of now, and as history suggests, it's close between Mississippi and South Carolina.

Per scout, four-star or greater players

Mississippi - 54 (including six five-stars)
2015 - 7
2014 - 9
2013 - 6 (including two five-stars)
2012 - 4 (including two five-stars)
2011 - 8
2010 - 8
2009 - 6 (including one five-star)
2008 - 6 (including one five-star)

South Carolina - 59 (including 7 five-stars)
2015 - 5
2014 - 8
2013 - 6
2012 - 6 (including one five-star)
2011 - 8 (including two five-stars)
2010 - 9 (including one five-star)
2009 - 11 (including one five-star)
2008 - 6 (including two five-stars)

Tennessee - 46 (including two five-stars)
2015 - 9
2014 - 7
2013 - 8 (including one five-star)
2012 - 6
2011 - 4
2010 - 2
2009 - 5 (including one five-star)
2008 - 5

Y'all have a while to go, Tennessee.
