I mainly based it on recent history. I was just messing around with you.

Anyone else notice the downtick in South Carolina and upswing in Tennessee?
Like everything in life, it's cyclical. I'm sure if you go five years before the chart our numbers were not as high as the 2008-2010 classes. I would say that an average year for us is around 5 or so in the top 250.

And that's why we're dipping in Ohio. Thank God.

I'm gonna need to see a little more production out of TN before I'm ready to anoint them as the third best "small state" for SEC recruiting.
As of now, and as history suggests, it's close between Mississippi and South Carolina.

But what constitutes a "small state"? South Carolina has the same population as Alabama at near 5 million. Tennessee is a bit larger at 6.4 million. Meanwhile, Mississippi is roughly 2.7 million.

Small as in "produces less aggregate football talent than Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas."

Good grief, Ga has 22 this year. Which means we'll sign about 6 of them
I have a feeling we do a lot better this year but good lord Georgia talent is as rich as it's ever been and getting stronger.

Would be about par for the course, here are the numbers for GA using Rivals like the OP:
2008 - 18
2009 - 14
2010 - 21
2011 - 17
2012 - 18
2013 - 16
2014 - 20
2015 - 28
I expect us to get around 8-9 of those. Probably should be more, but I'll be fine with it as long as we're filling in the gaps with highly rated guys from other states, like Sony Michel.
