I saw that earlier. I think Chuma is trolling. I would be beyond shocked in he doesn't go to VOLS or UGA. Jmo

Stanford has stolen a recruit or two most years. Getting him would be the best they've gotten out of Ga in years. I haven't talked to his coaches for a month or so but they said it was a UT/UGA battle.

Last guy Stanford stole was James Vaughters I believe. Can't ever be mad at a kid if he chooses Stanford. I would strongly consider them too if I was in their position.

It's just strange that he's considering a couple of schools 2,000 miles away when just last week he told VQ that his favorite thing about UT is that it's far enough to get away from home but still close enough where he could visit his mom as often as he wants.
But yeah, you really can't blame a kid for getting a Stanford education if that's what he's all about.

Serious question...what is ole butch selling up there on Rocky top? UT has signed an silly number of players in the last year. At first you can see early playing time, but by now the cupboard is getting stocked.

I mean we're still Tennessee and it sells itself to a certain extent like it has for generations to recruits. All time besides Alabama being ahead of us, we are one of the premier SEC programs and are one of college footballs blue blood schools. We won't be down forever.

The Chizik recruiting special. Come have a fun time, we have no one so everyone is an instant starter, we need you to start and you will lead us to a storied program turnaround, etc. I mean when you hear rumblings that they are pitching a complete project like Torrance Gibson immediate playing time, you get a pretty clear picture of what they're selling.
Its a good initial recruiting pitch but at some point they're going to need to actually start winning on the field. You can only sell the whole "we suck, come turn us around!" thing for so long.
