I personally prefer the iPhone. Everyone has their favorites and you'll read a bunch of I switched to this and I'll never go back, mine has a bigger screen ftw, and etc.

The reasons I like my iPhone over any other phone:

• Syncs perfectly with my AppleTv
• iCloud allows me to sync perfectly with my iPad Mini
• My wife's job calls for her to attend conferences in other cities and sometimes states so I can FaceTime with her when she's gone. I can also FaceTime with her when she is visiting her mom and dad out of town.
• Easy to use and haven't had any problems with any iPhone I've had back to the 3G
• I use mine for my PTT radio for work using the MotoTalk app. This enabled me to get rid of the bulky SouthernLinc radio I've had for years
• I have a wireless lighting system in my home and have it synced with my iPhone and my iPad Mini
• JAILBREAK. My phone is jailbroken and I can do MORE things with my phone than any stock iPhone can from changing the look of the lockscreen and homescreen to the entire perfomance of the phone.

All in all, I would recommend you going to a store and putting your hands on a device to see how you like it. Just because someone else prefers one device doesn't mean that it's going to be your favorite. It may end up being the case but just go look for yourself. In my opinion, iPhones are going to offer things that an Android OS phone can't but that also goes the other way around. So go test drive one and make the decision. All these threads end up doing is become a d*ck measuring contest for who can pimp their phone preference the most.

You can do all that with Android as well (aside from the Apple interconnectivity. That is a great feature if you use only Apple products).

My phone came with a great app that serves as a universal remote for everything in my house. UVerse in different rooms, TVs in every room, audio units, Netflix/streaming media, and my computers.

It's pretty awesome to only worry about one remote. I find it better than any other universal remote because I can add unlimited devices/buttons for each device. Even if a button doesn't work when you first sync it, you just press and hold whatever original button you want to program while your phone waits for the signal and it stores it.
