I've never understood the hate for jerseys.
I don't own any, but seriously. Why do you care?
I really don't get the obsession with "looking good" for games, either. I wear a t-shirt and shorts or jeans to most games, and I switch to layered clothing in the winter.
That is apparently blasphemous as a OM fan, but comfort > an inflated sense of "style".

Gives a better impression. When you hear fans from outside the region comment in amazement at how well a fanbase looks as a whole, its a good thing
