Maybe it's because we don't give a shite if you're a bama fan, and have no want or need to have a conversation with you. I've never once walked up to someone I didn't know wearing a bama hat to engage in a conversation. Yet, it never fails that if I go out wearing an AU hat, some frickstick is gonna feel the need to inform me that he/she is a bama fan. Congrats, I did not ask but whatever. Doesn't happen here in Georgia very much, most likely because Georgia-based Bama fans are probably alum. But damn near every time I'm at the beach, some a-hole is gonna need to inform me of this must know info.
Maybe you should hang a sign around your neck with the word a-hole written on it...that'd probably do the trick!
