Interesting...so Vegas thinks Kentucky and Ark are going to be better than State and Tenn. Doesn't State have like a Hiesman hopefully or something returning?

That's really not how "field" bets work. Memphis, Tulane, Rice, et al are also included in the "field" The statistical probability of one of 85 teams coming from nothing to win the championship is greater than a specific Mississippi State winning the championship.

The odds go to Vegas' favor in field bets because there is a statistical chance that two teams from nothing play for the championship. (Has happened before in Super Bowl - the Rams and were a Field Bet the year they won it.)

If Ole Miss were 1:1 odds to be the most racist campus in America, that's like Vegas saying that Ole Miss had a 50% chance of being the most racist campus in America, and the other 1500 college campuses made up the other 50%. If the other 1500 college campuses were "Field", then they would have the same 1:1 odds., but the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh wouldn't necessarily have the same odds at Ole Miss.
