I'd agree with you there but I don't think it will ever change. He is pre-planner by nature. It's his analysis and game planning ahead of time that's his greatest strength outside of recruiting and when he has time he's often able to work through enough 'what if' scenarios. Conversely, he doesn't adjust nearly as well to the unexpected. It's just the way his mind operates as well as a part of his overall personality.

JFF's spontaneity and improv skills were just as big of a problem for Saban as Manziel's innate talent. It's difficult to pre-plan for the level of spontaneity JFF played with in his college days.

I thought they did a great job VS Manziel in the 2nd half in games.
