Will your SEC Team Unionize?

I don't know if USC's will, but I do know that SC is a Right To Work state, which means that a person cannot be forced to join a union if it's already been established in that job code. Hypothetically, there could be 55 USC players who want to form a union, and 30 player who do not want to unionize.
So, NO, I don't think SC's team will be all union.
Here is the great" kicker" though, all these schools are focused on treating everyone the same. So whatever benefits the union guys get, I believe they're going to give the same benefits to the non-union guys who aren't paying the union dues to the For Profit union business.

This question would be for Vandy fans only (I would think).

Alabama is RTW as well. The only SEC program in a state that's not is Mizzou.

I don't know about Dixie, but in Texas we don't do that.

The non-union teams will kill the union teams on the field. Go look at Detroit or Akron, unions were wonderful for those places.

I'm not sure, but i think state schools can't do it.

I bet Clowney wishes we were unionized so he could take plays off whenever he wanted AMIRITE

Public universities have a whole different set of rules concerning interaction with unions and such, it's a huge ball of wax.
Vandy, as a private school, is the only team in the SEC the Northwestern thing could potentially apply to in the near future.

No way. Our admins are too cheap to support our AD fully as is. I mean seriously, I think our AD would drop any sport that unionized or eliminate scholarships and buy cheap players.

RTW or not, the bigger employers who have contracts with a union specify that all hourly employees join that union. Im not sure what differentiates which companies can or can't make it mandatory, but it is not necessarily a RTW issue.

New question: does the OP understand what is going on?

At the end of the day, the big time players at big time programs will get some defined extra benefits.
1. Jersey sales: If your jersey number sets sales records after you arrive, you should get a royalty of 10% placed in a trust and payable upon graduation.
2. Autographs, collectibles, etc: 10% payable over life of product and player
