Some good spots and not so good spots...
Hale looked meh imho...he struggled getting the ball into Gattis' mit during the 4th and it got out of control quick...
BJ looked a little better...he has a had a good spring so far...i think last night was a result of good pitching for the starter for Houston...he had a nasty slider...
Uggla looks waaaaayy different imho...think he will produce this season...
Defense looked lazy a couple of times...the backups who played late did better than alot of the starters....
FF 1st Base is a stud...

Yea I watched the first 4 innings.
Chris Johnson is going to hit above .310 again this year. That inside out swing he took to put that 1st inning fastball 430 feet out to center told me all I needed to know.
If Heyward stays healthy, he's going to be a force this year. I really liked his swing last night.
I agree on Hale. He got out of some jams early but once you keep getting runners on, you're going to pay for it and he did. I think he has a ton of promise but last night wasn't his best night.

The season hinges on Uggla/BJ. No way we win the division if both hit below .200 again. Both seem to have made strides this spring. I hope it carries over to the season. Gonna have to score runs, and bunches of them, with our pitching staff.

What channel was it on?
My guide said it was on MLBnetwork, so I turned it on, but they were showing some other game.

not so sure it hinges on them...but they def need to contribute more than last season...BJ worked hard from what I heard...maybe cause he feels guilty for all the cash he is raking in...and the hits he wasnt producing...

these are the guys that the season hinges on...and FF 1St base...those three are the foundation imho...if they suck...we suck as a whole...
i dig on Pena...he looked good in his limited time playing last night...we have to use him...

I think JHey, CJohnson and FF are gonna do what they're gonna do. But will JUp hit 12 hr's in April to give us a 10 game lead over Washington again? Doubtful! So everybody will have to contribute for this team to win, especially the 2 that sucked arse last year. If Uggla struggles in April, would love to see Pena starting at 2nd in May!

The season will hinge one how our young, injury riddled rotation will do, imo.

Yea, this is probably as tempered as my expectations have been in a while. Which usually my thoughts are the exact opposite of what happens so we'll see.
