I do find it as rich coming from a Florida fan too. How many transfers did Billy D have in the last few years? Hell Calathes flat left the team to play overseas.

But hey, lets not let facts get in the way.

Or Bradley Beal going pro after one year.

Hell Eloy Vargas was a transfer from Florida.

So much fail in this thread. If folks are going to post, they should at least know what they are posting about. I guess that's the beauty of an anonymous internet message board.

If you don't think Cal twists his players arms to declare you haven't been paying attention.

Cal has said more than once he that he doesn't care about championships. He gloats about draft picks.

He tells guys that are supposed to go in the 1st round to go. How dare he.

If you haven't figured out that part of the reason they go to play for Cal is to get to the NBA then you're not paying attention.

So he should tell a kid to stay back for the benefit of the team but not the player? We don't need another Roy Williams clone.

Also, how many transfers will he force? Harrow, Wiltjer ring a bell

To be fair, he barely even recruited Wiltjer. Wiltjer just wanted UK.

I do feel bad for Jon Hood. Guy could be getting burn at a number of other schools but has chosen to squander his eligibility sitting on the bench with the faint hope of getting on the court. He was a borderline 4/5 star on Rivals.

Not blaming Cal here, btw.

I honestly do not follow NBA well enough to truly agrue in this thread but what slot did Goodwin get drafted at? I thought he could use another year but the Harrisons probably forced him out not Cal.

And yes I think BillyD forces players out with tough coaching. UF really could have used Kanji (sic) last year. UF would be even better with Larson or Harris as another big man.

Hell, he almost forced Chandler Parsons out back in the day. Good thing for both of them he stuck around.

Also BillyD almost ran off Wilbekin. IMO would have done so if he did not leave in Gainesville with his parents.

And Wiltjer's lack of defense was abysmal. Good shooter but was always a weird fit in Cal's system.

Then he made the right decision! Hard to disagree with first round pick. I would like guys who leave early to go higher but even Taurean Green left early with the rest of the 04s. Surprised everyone and never made the NBA.

Link?

CP never had any transfer rumors. Alex Tyus on the hand had a ton of them, some start by me.

His game honestly fits the NBA better than it did college.

Plus now he is probably getting to work with a shooting coach every day and the rest of their staff to improve his game.

I am just one who thinks if a guy is an obvious 1st round talent, but has flaws in his game, than he should just go pro. I think coming back is a bit overrated in developing a lot of guys games for the next level.
